These coated strings surprised me, offering crisp tone with no loss of highs from the coating. Very balanced tone, somewhere between an uncoated string and nylon tape wound, which is to be expected. Not as zingy as stainless, but still very nice, punchy tone with plenty of lows from the E and B. Tone is closer to nickel wound than stainless.

My fingers tended to stick a bit on some strings, but not all the time. To me, this is preferable to having too much of a greasy feel like some other coated strings.

Seem well made. I have not had them on the bass long enough to testify as to whether they last longer because of the coating, which is said to resit sweat, oil and dirt.

A nice strings for those who have oily hands or whose hands sweat a lot while playing. Balanced tone with plenty of highs and lows. Lacking somewhat in midrange, but this can be solved by EQ.
